Ah, graduation parties are just a little whirlwind of excitement, but one thing that just really makes things a heck of a lot easier is having some delicious food that absolutely anyone can eat. And let's be realistic, finding the gluten-free options that don't taste like cardboard is sometimes a challenge. That is why I'm excited to share these 5 gluten-free rice bowls that are perfect for a graduation party. These bowls are full of flavor, fully customizable, and most importantly, they're delish! Whether this is for a dietary-restricted guest or just something easy and delicious to eat, this will surely be one hit of a bowl. Now, let's dive in!

Spicy Korean BBQ Rice Bowl

This bowl is a real crowd-pleaser with its sweet and spicy flavors, not to mention super easy to make! The key is using good quality Korean BBQ sauce. I like to add in a little sriracha for a kick.

Ingredients: Cooked brown rice, or your favorite gluten-free rice Sliced grilled chicken or tofu-I use boneless, skinless chicken thighs sliced up and tossed in a pan Sliced red onion Shredded carrots Korean BBQ sauce-find a gluten-free one Sesame seeds Sriracha-optional

Instructions:

  1. Cook the rice according to package directions.
  2. Grill the chicken or tofu until cooked through, then slice it up.
  3. In a bowl, combine the rice, chicken, onion, and carrots.
  4. Drizzle with Korean BBQ sauce and sriracha if using. 5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.

You can very easily make this bowl your own by adding extra veggies of choice: bell peppers, zucchini, or even mushrooms. It is all about finding what you love!

Mediterranean Quinoa Bowl

That bowl is just bursting with freshness-perfect for summer parties. The freshness of the quinoa, veggies, and creamy feta tasted divine in every bite. I was not shy and added extra toppings like olives, hummus, or even a sprinkle of dried oregano on top.

Ingredients:

  • Cooked quinoa or your favorite gluten-free grain
  • Sliced cucumber
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Kalamata olives
  • Crumbled feta cheese
  • Lemon juice
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Prepare the quinoa by cooking it according to package instructions.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the cooked quinoa, cucumber, tomatoes, and olives.
  3. Toss with lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Crumble feta cheese on top and serve.

This is a very good bowl to make ahead. You can assemble all of the ingredients in advance and store them in the fridge separately, then you combine them right before serving.

  1. Tropical Chicken Rice Bowl

This bowl is a taste of heaven! The mixture of juicy grilled chicken, sweet pineapple, and the tanginess of mango is right on spot. You may take fresh or frozen pineapple and mango, or even supplement with a passion fruit for additional flavor.

Ingredients:

  • Cooked brown rice (or your favorite gluten-free rice) Sliced grilled chicken or tofu-I use boneless, skinless chicken thighs for this recipe. Diced fresh pineapple Diced mango Chopped cilantro Lime juice Instructions Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Grill chicken or tofu until it's cooked through, then slice. In a large bowl, combine rice, chicken, pineapple, mango, and cilantro. Squeeze lime juice over the top and serve.

This bowl is great for meal prep, too. You can prep the ingredients ahead of time and assemble it in the morning before work.

  1. Asian-Inspired Tofu Rice Bowl

Filled with flavor and texture, this bowl satisfies a firm desire to taste blissfully combined tofu, vegetables, and creamy peanut sauce. It is perfect for those who want an option that is either vegan-friendly or vegetarian.

Ingredients:

  • Cooked brown rice (or your favorite gluten-free rice)
  • Crispy tofu (you can buy pre-made or make your own)
  • Sliced bell peppers
  • Sliced red onion
  • Peanut sauce
  • Chopped peanuts for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the rice according to package directions.
  2. Crispy the tofu, then slice it up.

This bowl will be a perfect option for those who seek something light and fresh. This gives you a medley of fresh veggies, mixed with quinoa and topped with lemon vinaigrette. The avocado adds some creaminess with its healthy fats.

Ingredients:

  • Cooked quinoa or any other gluten-free grain of your choice
  • Sliced avocado
  • Chopped romaine lettuce
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Diced red onion Lemon vinaigrette, homemade is best, but store-bought is no problem Salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Cook quinoa by package instructions.  
  2. In a bowl, combine cooked quinoa, diced avocado, chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, and thinly sliced red onion.
  3. Toss with lemon vinaigrette, salt, and pepper.
  4. Serve immediately.

This bowl is perfect for those people who are in an effort to eat healthier; the quinoa and vegetables will add fiber and nutrients, while lemon vinaigrette contributes to an amazing taste.
