Getting Started: Oats & Water
These are the things you'll be needing:
This will make a decent batch; for more, simply double up the ingredients!
The Blending Process:
Now, this is where the magic happens. Add those oats and water to a high-speed blender and blend until it's smooth and creamy. You may have to add a bit more water for that silky feel. It might take a few minutes, but don't stop until it's fully smooth. You don't want any gritty bits in your oat milk, do you?

Strain It Up:
After blending, strain the oat milk through a cheesecloth or nut milk bag. This will separate the oat milk from the pulp. Don't throw that pulp away, though! You can use it in smoothies, bread, or even to make oat milk pancakes! But, we'll talk about that another time.

Store It Wisely:
You can store your homemade oat milk in the refrigerator up to 3 days in an airtight container. Just be sure to give it a good shake before you use it. I personally think that it tastes best cold, but hey, to each their own!
