Last week, I had this crazy idea to create a super healthy and refreshing drink. Something that would not only taste amazing but also pack a nutritional punch. I envisioned a drink that would be perfect for a hot summer's day, a post-workout treat, or just a little pick-me-up during those afternoon slumps. And, after several rounds of experiments in the kitchen (with some pretty funny fails!), I finally created my signature Berry Spinach Refresher. It's seriously the best.

So why berries and spinach, you might ask? Well, berries are bursting with antioxidants, adding a delicious sweetness that masks the spinach's slightly earthy flavor. Spinach is full of iron, vitamins, and other good stuff. It's truly a powerhouse green! Plus, I tried this recipe when my friend, Sarah, was feeling unwell. It really cheered her up!

  1. First, wash and thoroughly prep your ingredients. Give the spinach a good rinse, and remove the stems from the berries. This ensures there are no sneaky bits of dirt in your delicious drink.
  2. Next, add all your ingredients – spinach, berries, honey/maple syrup (whatever you prefer!), and water/juice – to your trusty blender.
  3. Now for the blend! Secure the lid tightly on your blender and blend everything until it's completely smooth. This may take a minute or two. If it’s too thick, add a little more liquid. Too thin? Add a few more berries!
  4. Once everything is nicely blended and you have achieved the perfect consistency, taste-test! Adjust sweetness as needed. Sometimes I forget that I put too much honey. Whoops!
  5. Finally, pour your revitalizing Berry Spinach Refresher into your favorite glass. Add a garnish of fresh berries or a sprig of mint if you're feeling fancy. Enjoy responsibly!
