Last Thanksgiving got a little… crazy. My aunt's famous pecan pie exploded in the oven-true story, Uncle Barry fell asleep mid-conversation, and I nearly set the table on fire with a stray lighter. It was, shall we say, memorable. This year? I'm going stress-free. And I'm sharing my secrets so you can conquer your Thanksgiving too! This recipe for my ridiculously easy Cranberry Sauce is the cornerstone of my stress-reduction strategy. Trust me, once you get this down, Thanksgiving prep will feel like a breeze. (Almost.)

Ridiculously Easy Cranberry Sauce

This recipe is so simple, even I can make it without incident. Seriously, it's foolproof. No complicated techniques or obscure ingredients. Just pure cranberry goodness. And that's what Thanksgiving is all about right? Well, besides family, and football, and all that other stuff. But, mostly, the cranberries.

Yields: About 4 cups Prep time: 5 minutes Cook time: 10-15 minutes

Ingredients:

1 (12-ounce) bag fresh cranberries 1 cup granulated sugar (you can use less if you prefer a tarter sauce. I did this one time and it was good, but I like it more sweet now.) 1/2 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed is best, but bottled works in a pinch. I used bottled once. Don't tell anyone.) 1/4 cup water

  • Zest of one orange - optional, but it's a nice touch!

Equipment:

  • Medium saucepan
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
