This recipe is my go-to when I crave pizza but don’t want the fuss of individual rounds. It's surprisingly easy and perfect for a crowd. I once made this at a party and it was gobbled up faster than you can say 'pizza'! Trust me, this recipe is a game-changer!

Forget everything you think you know about pizza. This recipe is a revelation! It produces a crispy, golden brown crust, and the cheesy, peppery goodness of the pepperoni is simply irresistible. It's so easy even my clumsy uncle Dave could make it!

📖 Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This is crucial for a perfectly baked pizza!
  2. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. This will prevent sticking and make cleanup a breeze!
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of pizza sauce, 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, and 1/4 cup of sliced pepperoni. Mix gently. Don't overmix!
  4. Pour the sauce mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Make sure to get those corners!
  5. In another bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups of pizza dough. Don't forget to flour your surface so it doesn't stick.
  6. Roll out the dough to fit the pan, it should be about 1/4-inch thick. I usually make a bit of a border, it makes it easier to pick up later.
  7. Carefully place the rolled-out dough into the pan, pressing gently to ensure it covers the bottom and corners. It's alright if it's a little rustic.
  8. Top with the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese and any additional toppings you desire. Get creative!
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. You'll know it's ready when it's starting to get golden around the edges.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares. This prevents a gooey mess!
  11. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious square pizza! Dont forget the extra pepperonis!

📝 Notes

  • Feel free to experiment with different toppings! Mushrooms, onions, peppers—the possibilities are endless!
  • If your dough is too sticky, add a little more flour, a tablespoon at a time.
  • For extra crispy crust, pre-bake the crust for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
  • Watch your oven! Different ovens cook at slightly different temperatures. Adjust cooking times if needed
