Okay, so let's talk about smoothies. I love them, they're like the ultimate quick breakfast or afternoon pick-me-up (I said I love them; this is a recipe blog, so we're all about smoothness here...). But, sometimes store-bought smoothies can be a bit…eh…lacking. This recipe is for a mixed berry smoothie that's bursting with fresh flavor and is super easy to make. It's also super customizable – you can adjust sweetness, add other fruits, or even veggies!

I came up with this recipe after a particularly stressful morning. I was running late, my coffee was cold, and frankly, I just needed something delicious to make me feel better. This smoothie is my go-to now because it’s so quick and easy, but also tastes like summer in a glass. It really does improve my mood.

📖 Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients! This is the fun part. Make sure your berries are washed and ready to go. If using frozen, let them soften a bit.
  2. Add the berries to your blender. I use about 1 cup, but feel free to adjust to your preference. More berries = more berry deliciousness!
  3. Now for the liquids. I use 1/2 cup of milk (almond milk is my fave!), but any milk or juice works great! Add your liquid to the blender.
  4. Next, I like to add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup. This depends on how sweet your berries are. Taste as you go!
  5. Give it a good whirl! Start on a low speed, then increase to high and blend until completely smooth. Scrape down the sides if needed.
  6. Pour into your favorite glass and enjoy immediately! Garnish with fresh berries or a sprig of mint if you're feeling fancy.
  7. If you're not drinking it right away, put a lid on it and stick it in the fridge. It's even tastier after it chills for a bit!

📝 Notes

  • Adjust sweetness to your liking.
  • Feel free to add other fruits or vegetables.
  • For a thicker smoothie, use less liquid. For a thinner smoothie, use more liquid.
  • If you really want to boost that protein, add a scoop of your favorite protein powder
