📖 Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Make sure you do this before you even begin making the dough. Really important step, don't skip it!
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1 cup (2 sticks) of softened unsalted butter and 1 cup of granulated sugar until its light and fluffy. You want that creamy texture! If the butter isn't soft enough, pop it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to soften it up.
  3. Beat in 1 cup of creamy peanut butter until its well combined. This is where the amazing peanut butter flavor gets infused into the cookie dough!
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Make sure the baking soda is fresh, otherwise your cookies won't rise properly. Trust me on this!
  5. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the peanut butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Don't overmix or your cookies will be tough. Gentle is key!
  6. Add 2 1/2 to 3 cups of all-purpose flour, one cup at a time, mixing until the dough just comes together. Be careful not to add too much flour – the dough should be slightly sticky, not dry and crumbly. It'll be fine, really!
  7. Once your dough is ready, roll it into 1-inch balls, and place them on an ungreased baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie. Remember, these bad boys spread out while baking.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft. Keep an eye on them, and don't overbake them, otherwise you'll have burnt cookies, and nobody wants that!
  9. While the cookies are still warm, press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie. Gently push down. I like to use the back of a spoon to make it easier. This is the fun part!!
  10. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. The Kisses will melt and create that perfect chocolatey swirl.
  11. Once cooled, store your Peanut Butter Blossoms in an airtight container at room temperature. Enjoy!

📝 Notes

  • Make sure your butter is softened to room temperature for best results.
  • Use fresh baking soda for proper rising.
  • Adjust flour as needed to achieve the correct dough consistency.
  • The baking time may vary slightly depending on your oven.
