Hey there, smoothie lovers! I’m Willow Creek, and let me tell you, I’ve been on a bit of a smoothie kick lately. It all started when my friend, Sarah, told me about her amazing hiking experience in the mountains. She was raving about how this energizing midnight-blue smoothie kept her going on her trek, and honestly? I was intrigued. The color alone is mesmerizing – kind of like a magical potion!
So, of course, I had to try it myself. And guess what? It’s ridiculously delicious. I mean, seriously! It’s not your average green smoothie; it’s this beautiful deep blue, packed with antioxidants and other good stuff. Plus, it’s incredibly easy to make. Seriously, even I can whip it up, and my culinary skills are…well, let’s just say I mostly stick to toast.

📖 Instructions
Gather your ingredients and equipment. Make sure your produce is clean and prepared.
Add the frozen blueberries, banana, spinach, and chia seeds to your blender.
Pour in the almond milk (or other milk alternative). If using plain yogurt, add it now as well.
Add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup to taste (optional).
Secure the blender lid and blend on high speed for 45-60 seconds, or until the smoothie is completely smooth and creamy. You might need to stop and scrape down the sides once or twice.
Taste test your smoothie and adjust the sweetness or milk consistency as needed.
If you want an even smoother smoothie without any little seeds, strain it through a fine-mesh sieve or strainer before serving. I usually skip this step, though; I like a little texture!
Pour the smoothie into a glass and garnish with fresh berries (optional), a sprig of mint (optional), or a sprinkle of granola (optional). Serve immediately and enjoy!
📝 Notes
Adjust the amount of almond milk or yogurt to reach your desired consistency.
Feel free to experiment with other fruits and/or vegetables!
If using fresh spinach, you may need to add a bit more liquid to achieve a smooth consistency
