The arils will sink, and the membrane will float to the top. Discard the membrane and drain the arils. This water method helps prevent juice splatters!
Ginger Prep: Wash and peel a 1-inch piece of fresh ginger. Finely chop or grate it. If you’re sensitive to ginger, start with a smaller amount and adjust to taste. I tend to go overboard with ginger, so start small!
Ingredient Assembly: Place the pomegranate arils, chopped ginger, banana, spinach, and pomegranate juice into your blender. I like to layer it starting with spinach, then the banana to get the smoothest blend possible.
Blend Time: Secure the blender lid. Start blending on low, gradually increasing the speed until everything is smooth and creamy. This usually takes about 30-60 seconds, depending on your blender's power. If it seems too thick, add a splash more pomegranate juice.
