This paleo berry & yogurt bowl is my go-to breakfast. It's so quick and easy to make, tastes incredible, and leaves me feeling energized and satisfied for hours. Plus, it's stunning—almost too pretty to eat! I often make this for brunch get-togethers with friends. We usually sit outside, listening to music and catching up, enjoying this refreshing bowl of goodness together. It's a perfect way to start the day or to fuel up after a fun hike. Speaking of hikes, one time a friend told me about a crazy mountain she recently summited.

This recipe is endlessly customizable. Feel free to experiment with different types of berries, nuts, and seeds. I've been known to add a few slices of banana or a drizzle of nut butter for extra flavor and richness. The key is to find what combinations you love most! Sometimes I even add a sprinkle of cacao nibs for a delightful hint of chocolate. What's your favorite breakfast bowl combination? Let me know in the comments!

📖 Instructions

  1. 1. Prep the Berries: Rinse your chosen berries (I used a mix of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries—so pretty!). Pat them dry gently with paper towels to prevent a watery bowl. Roughly chop any larger berries, like strawberries. This step isn't strictly necessary, but it makes for better eating and prettier pictures!
  2. 2. (Optional) Make Berry Sauce: For an extra burst of flavor, you can make a simple berry sauce. Simmer the berries in a small saucepan over low heat for about 5-10 minutes, or until they soften and release their juices. If using, let this cool completely before adding to your bowl. If you skip this step, just move on to the next!
  3. 3. Make Your Yogurt Base: In a mixing bowl, add your full-fat Greek yogurt (or your substitute of choice). I like to use two cups, but you can easily adjust depending on the size of your bowl and how much you want. It’s all about personal preference, right?
  4. 4. Assemble the Bowl: Layer the yogurt in your serving bowls. Add your prepped berries next—a beautiful colorful layer. Sprinkle with your favorite nuts (I love slivered almonds, but walnuts, pecans, or even macadamia nuts would be delicious), chia seeds, and unsweetened shredded coconut. A touch of cinnamon never hurts, either!
  5. 5. (Optional) Sweetener: If you prefer a sweeter bowl, you can add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup, or a sprinkle of your preferred sugar alternative at this point. Taste first! You might be surprised how delicious it is with just the natural sweetness of the berries.
  6. 6. Garnish & Serve: Take a look at your creation! It’s gorgeous, right? Now add a final sprinkle of your favorite nuts or seeds as a garnish if you like. Serve immediately and enjoy every delicious bite!

📝 Notes

  • Adjust sweetness to your preference with honey or maple syrup.
  • Feel free to substitute with other berries, nuts, and seeds.
  • Optional: Make a simple berry sauce by simmering the berries for 5-10 minutes before adding to the bowl.
