📖 Instructions

  1. First, gather your ingredients! Make sure your lemons and oranges are ripe and juicy for the best flavor. Wash them thoroughly before you begin.
  2. Next, juice your lemons and oranges. You can use a manual juicer or a citrus press. Aim for about 1 ½ cups of lemon juice and 1 cup of orange juice. Don’t worry about getting every last drop—we just need a good amount of juice.
  3. Now, in a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon and orange juice. Add the sugar (or honey, if you're using it). Stir gently until the sugar dissolves completely. If you're using honey, it will dissolve a bit slower and you may want to gently warm the juice on the stovetop for a few seconds to aid in dissolving it, but be careful not to boil it.
  4. Add water to the pitcher. Start by adding 4 cups of water and stir, tasting as you go to find your perfect balance. You can easily add more water to reach your desired level of tartness.
  5. Now comes the fun part—add ice! Fill the pitcher with ice cubes, or just enough to make your lemonade perfectly chilled. If you have some fun ice cube molds, that would be even more exciting!
  6. Finally, gently stir again to make sure that the flavors are well combined. Taste your lemonade one last time and adjust the sweetness or tartness according to your preference. You can always add a touch more sugar or a splash more water.
  7. Once you’re happy with the taste, pour your Sunshine Citrus Burst Lemonade into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with lemon and orange slices, maybe a sprig of mint or basil if you're feeling fancy. There you have it—a refreshing drink, ready to be enjoyed!

📝 Notes

  • For a stronger citrus flavor, add more lemons.
  • Adjust water to your desired sweetness.
  • Use filtered water for the best taste.
  • Garnish with extra citrus slices and a sprig of mint or basil for a touch of class!
