  1. First, prepare your tofu. Crumble it into a large bowl. Don't worry about making it perfectly even—a little rustic is fine. It's the flavour that counts, right?
  2. Next, whisk together nutritional yeast, turmeric, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper in a small bowl. This is your flavor magic dust!
  3. Now, gently toss the crumbled tofu with the spice blend, ensuring every bit is coated. You want every single bite to be full of flavor!
  4. Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add a tablespoon or two of olive oil. Make sure your heat is just right: you should be able to comfortably hold your hand a few inches above the pan for a second or two.
  5. Once the oil is shimmering, add the tofu to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until it's golden brown and slightly crispy on the edges. This takes about 10-12 minutes. And remember, patience is key here!
  6. While the tofu is cooking, chop your fresh herbs—I love parsley, chives, and dill—into small pieces. Fresh is best, but dried herbs work in a pinch.
  7. Once the tofu is cooked to perfection, stir in your chopped fresh herbs. If you're feeling adventurous, add some chopped tomatoes or mushrooms here!
