📖 Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Get that oven nice and toasty, that's were the magic begins!
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and green onions. Use an electric mixer to ensure everything is well combined and smooth. Nobody wants lumpy cream cheese!
Add the crab meat, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder to the mixture. Gently fold in with a rubber spatula until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, you want those delicious chunks of crab to stay intact!
Evenly spread the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Try not to snack on it now!
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and bubbly around the edges. The top should be lightly golden brown. Keep an eye on it – ovens vary, and you don't want it to burn!
While the dip is baking, prepare the wonton chips (if making them). Cut each wonton wrapper into quarters and arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Bake the wonton chips for 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Watch them closely, as they can burn quickly! Keep them crispy!
Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with extra chopped green onions, if desired.
Serve warm with the homemade or store-bought wonton chips for dipping. Enjoy immediately!
If you're feeling adventurous, consider adding a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning before baking for an extra layer of flavor. One of my friends add this to their and it tastes so so good!
📝 Notes
For a richer flavor, use full-fat cream cheese and sour cream. I find it to taste the best this way!
If you don't have Worcestershire sauce, a dash of soy sauce can be used as a substitute.
Store leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
